Comprehending dental insurance policies can be rather difficult at times. In order that your transition to Colorado Kids Pediatric Dentistry is a smooth one, we strongly suggest contacting your insurance provider to gain a better understanding of your current dental plan. It is important to note that each insurance plan specifies the types of procedures that will be covered. Under certain policies, a necessary dental treatment may be excluded from your contract. A few facts to be aware of when purchasing dental insurance or inquiring about an existing plan include:

  • Many carriers have “allowed” amounts. This means that your plan will pay a maximum amount towards a treatment or procedure, however, this “maximum” may not cover the total cost of the treatment.
  • Insurance plans reach an annual maximum limit on the benefits offered.
  • Many insurance plans require you to select a dentist from a list.
  • Ultimately, you are responsible for the cost of dental procedures no matter what your insurance plan.

Listed below are CKPD's standard fees for common dental procedures.  These fees are not reflective of contracts CKPD has entered into with various dental insurance providers.  Contracted dental insurance fees vary widely with different dental insurance companies.  If you have dental insurance, consult with your benefits provider or your benefits handbook for dental procedure fees that may be unique to your dental insurance.
